Hastelloy C-276 alloy is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, which is considered to be a versatile corrosion resistant alloy due to its extremely low silicon carbon content.
It is mainly resistant to wet chlorine, various oxidizing "chlorides", chloride salt solution, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts. It has good corrosion resistance in low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid.
