Alloy 725 is a precipitation hardenable, nickel-base alloy that offers exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking and general pitting and crevice corrosion in the age hardened condition. With corrosion resistance similar to 625 and superior to that of 718, 725 is considered for applications where severely corrosive environments are a concern. A yield strength (0.2% offset) above 120 ksi (827 MPa) can be obtained by aging without prior warm or cold working. The precipitation hardening capability is particularly important in applications where large-section size or intricate shape precludes warm working.

• lron-nickel-chromium-molvbdenum-niobium based alloy, good resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals. Highly resistant to corrosion, pitting, and stress cracking in the environment containing carbon dioxide, chlorine and hydrogen sulfide.Outstanding corrosion resistance for the environments containing acidic chemicals.Good corrosion resistance for brine and seawater.
• Good corrosion resistance at high temperature applications. such as oil and gas production. where the alloy has good resistance to H2S corrosion.
