Mumetal SuPermalloy (1J85) sheet/STRIP/ bar/Ring

Common Trade Names: Mumetal,UNS N14080, HY-MU80,Permalloy 80, 1J79, 79НМ,

Mumetal /Permalloy 80 is a highly magnetic nickel-molybdenum-iron alloy. with roughly 80% nickel and 15% iron and 5% molybdenum content. It's useful as a magnetic core material in electrical and electronic equipment. Permalloy 80 provides high initial and maximum permeabilities with low coercive force, low hysteresis loss, low eddy-current losses, and low magnetostriction which is critical for industrial applications. Applications: • Transformer laminations      • Relay     • Recording Heads     •Deflection and Focusing Yokes     • Amplifiers      •Loudspeakers       •Shielding.

Mumetal Shielding Potential                                                                                                                                                                     Permalloy has extremely high permeability and nominal coercive force that make it a suitable material for shielding operations. To achieve the desired shielding properties, HyMu 80 is annealed up to 1900oF or 1040oC subsequent to forming processes. Annealing at the elevated temperatures enhances the permeability and shielding properties.
