Stainless Steel F55 Bar/Plate/Pipe

Common Trade Names: F55, AISI 2507,UNS S32670, W.Nr 1.4501

Stainless steel F55 is a duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel containing about 40 - 50% ferrite in the annealed condition. F55 has been a practical solution to chloride stress corrosion cracking problems experienced with 304/304L or 316/316L stainless. The high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents provide corrosion resistance superior to 316/316L and 317L stainless in most environments. F55 is not suggested for operating temperatures up to 600°F

Why Stainless Steel F55 ?

F55(S32760 ) combines high mechanical strength and good ductility with corrosion resistance to marine environments and performs at ambient and sub zero temperatures. High resistance to abrasion, erosion and cavitation erosion and also used in sour service operation

Stainless Steel F55  Application field:

Primarily used for oil & gas and marine applications being typically used for pressure vessels, valves chokes, Xmas trees, flanges and pipework
